Trainee pastoral couple Harris & Ornella Lamonnaie have completed another year at the IBN
Our second year at the Nogent Bible Institute has nearly finished; by the time you read this, I (Harris) will have finished my exams. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, Ornella had to stop serving as a volunteer student this year. September 2024 will be the start of our final year at the IBN, with France Mission continuing to support us through the Education & Training Fund – thank you! We’re grateful for the Lord’s continued blessing on us and our children. There will be some changes in September, with Léana (5) moving to a school closer to our flat and Sam (11) starting secondary school, so please pray for us as we all navigate change.
My studies have gone well this year, praise God! Time spent with church leaders has also been very beneficial in helping me develop skills for pastoral ministry. I’ve been enjoying serving in the Église Protestante Évangélique de Créteil and will be continuing my practical training there during the year ahead. I’ve been involved in the following areas: discipleship of both teenagers and adults; preaching; leading prayer meetings; training with the ITEA (Institute of Applied Evangelical Theology).
Give thanks for:
· God’s faithfulness seen in good health (physical and spiritual) and family life
· IBN academic staff
· Good relationships with fellow students
· Financial and prayer support
Please pray for:
· The right balance between study and family life
· A 2-week intensive internship for Harris this summer
· Ongoing building works at the IBN
· Refreshing rest for all staff and students over the summer
May we all remember the truth of what Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 9.8: “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
